Education Program

Welcome to the Mannum Dock Discovery Centre on the banks of the Murray River.

We are proud to introduce our new and exciting learning opportunities for years 3-6.

Our museum (and its education program) is fully aligned with the new National History Curriculum.

New interactive display, “All Steamed Up” is now on offer at the Mannum Dock Museum: pretend to be a River Boat Captain and journey down the Murray River and learn about how steam power energy works!

Our Blacksmith shop is in operation on Wednesdays and Historic Beam Steam Engine by request.

Step on board the PS Marion, a fully restored heritage vessel built in 1900 and is one of the last operational boats of its type left in the world!

Extend your stay at the Mannum Caravan Park bunk house catering for 32 people and visit Ngaut Ngaut Conservation Park, experience a walk through Aboriginal Dreaming and Culture, Ngaut Ngaut is one of the State’s most significant Aboriginal sites or visit Big Bend By Night at Nildottie for a amazing nocturnal wildlife experience. Jester cruises catering for 35 people, by appointment only.

Cost $4.00 per person, maximum of four teachers free of charge.
